Introduction to the ACS Short Course

The ACS Short Couse in Polymer Chemistry targets industry professionals seeking greater understanding of principles governing polymer science. The course attempts to cover a broad range of topics that are relevant to professionals in the field of polymer science. Since no assumptions are made regarding the background of the participants, the course attempts to address a variety of learning styles and knowledge bases through lecture, demonstrations, laboratory exercises, and computer-based independent study.

Organization of Computer-Based Independent Study

The computer-based self-study element of the course is divided into several modules where each one covers a focused set of principles in one area of study. Each module provides interactive content that encourages students to study, analyze, and concretize their knowledge by performing "virtual" experiments.
