Research Interests

Research in my group consists of studies in analytical chemistry and chemical education. Analytical projects comprise the development of new methods to measure contaminants in groundwater. Education projects involve the development and application of the web-based technologies in the classroom and laboratory and outreach to high schools.

Analytical projects:

  1. evaluation of chelate based extraction technologies for the determination of heavy metals in contaminated sediments.

  2. selective ion traps for Cr VI in contaminated waters.

Chemical Education projects:

  1. outreach to K-12 schools.

  2. technology in the undergraduate chemistry classroom.
