Your donations to the CHEMISTRY ENHANCEMENT FUND are used to support the broader mission of the department, including activities that cannot be supported by state funding. In a nutshell, these activities provide a means for the department to respond to urgent requests for faculty support; in support of our students (e.g., scholarships, travel, and outreach activities); and much more. Charitable gifts also help fund the "niceties" that lead to an intellectually stimulating and collegial environment for faculty, staff, and students.
We are proud that our department has been recognized as a University Exemplary Department for three years (2009, 2014, and 2015)--and with your help we can continue to offer an outstanding educational experience to the next generation of students.
If you have had a good experience in the Department of Chemistry and would like to give something back to help, please consider donating. Even the smallest of gifts make a huge difference in our ability to support our outstanding faculty and students.
The Department of Chemistry Enhancement Fund (881327) provides immediate discretionary support for a range of activities, including graduate and undergraduate recruiting and scholarships; commencement; faculty, staff and student activities and awards; faculty recruiting; the Highlands Seminar Program; Elements (our alumni newsletter); K-12 outreach; and more.
When you receive your College of Science Annual Fund letter or phone call, please earmark your support for the Department of Chemistry Enhancement Fund.
